Wife of hate blogger Tony Ortega, Arielle Silverstein is also his fellow antireligious bigot—who, disturbingly, retains a position as a United Nations employee.

Described by one of Ortega’s enablers as the “power” behind his hate “throne,” Silverstein uses her United Nations paycheck to support Ortega, who has been unemployed for a decade. Ortega has spent those years on a full-time anti-Scientology harassment campaign involving thousands of blog postings intended to intimidate, smear, dehumanize and shame Scientologists.

Silverstein has expressed her own anti-Scientology, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and anti-Christian sentiments across many internet postings:

Silverstein described Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and its Museum of Tolerance, as a “whore.”
Silverstein wrote: “I now want the Simon Wiesenthal Center organization to cease to exist.”
Silverstein stated that she refuses to work with ultra-Orthodox Jews out of “dislike.”
In the middle of a UN work day, Silverstein posted: “I’m planning on committing the crime of blasphemy on #MohammedDay, May 20. It’s good not to be living in Kuwait, Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia,” adding, “it makes me so mad that the Muslim world reacts so violently to any stick figure named Mohamed [sic].”
Silverstein further denigrated the Prophet Muhammad, describing him as an “illiterate desert dweller” who, she “joked,” could not read tweets.
Silverstein posted about what she describes as the “unhealthy attitudes” of “Muslim society” in “even the more developed Muslim countries.”
Silverstein described “Arab men” as “Neanderthal” and stated they “think that the husband is always right and that they are allowed to beat up a woman.”
Silverstein refers to Christians as “suckers.”
Silverstein wrote: “Whether it’s the Hispanic preachers, Jehova witnesses [sic] or those crazy ‘the end of the world is coming’ people. They are all loud and crazy.”
Silverstein published a picture of an obscene comparison of the image of Jesus Christ to the rear end of a dog.

In addition to promoting antireligious bigotry, Silverstein is a member of Anonymous, the cyberterrorist group that has attacked Blacks, Jews, Muslims and Scientologists with hate propaganda. Anonymous has asserted: “We ruin the lives of other people simply because we can.”

United Nations protocols for staff conduct include mandates to “exhibit respect for all cultures” and to “not discriminate against any individual or group of individuals.”
