I recall an incident from many years ago where a couple of misguided radio personalities in my city decided it would be a good idea to disrupt a Muslim prayer service. Bad idea all around. The good thing was that the people of Denver condemned this forcefully.

There is no other way to put this: If you believe and repeat the corporate-owned media narrative on Scientology (and pretty much anything else), you are ignorant. Sorry. You just might be an Urban Redneck.

I'm a Scientologist who has studied Scientology for years. Decades actually. I know a lot of other Scientologists and, while I can't speak for all of them, I think plenty of us want to know why we're mislabeled “a cult.

If I were the devil I would strike up the band and throw a party. I’d be scrubbing my hands in glee right now as I watched my plans coming to fruition. The papers are spreading hate, political parties are spreading hate, and the television spews it at an unprecedented rate. Hate sells.

I was always looking for “my” religion. Since I was a little girl. My parents didn’t follow any one faith and allowed me to look for myself and I took full advantage of that. I studied different religions from Christianity to Buddhism .

Is it too far-fetched to conceive that “football” could be a religion? Well, if you are ever in Knoxville during football season, you will inevitably observe that, for all intents and purposes, it is a religion. And the truly die-hard fans are virtual religious zealots.

I am not prone to drama. However, having lived in Los Angeles for 30 years, I am very familiar with it. I try to keep myself busy working on my businesses, helping my family and friends and creating art. I’m generally too focused on that to pay attention to noise and sensationalism.

I was born in Mexico and began my formal education there. Naturally, I studied in Spanish and, because I attended a Catholic school, I was also exposed to Latin from an early age.

There is a great injustice being perpetuated by social media. This injustice creates a “fertile” soil for unfair discrimination, lies, and potential destruction for individuals and organizations. It is the communicating and forwarding of unsubstantiated “facts,” innuendos and negative comments about some individual or organization that color the way we think of him or it.
