Game Show Network considers its programming “family-friendly,” and “fun.” Meanwhile, its host publicly attacks, dehumanizes and spreads hate against members of the Scientology religion in obscenity-laced tirades virtually daily.
This is the pattern of the dehumanizer. Their motives are not pretty, altruistic or honest. Coat the venom with a veneer of acceptance and eventually your target will succumb.
After learning they were sponsoring bigotry, numerous Fortune 100 companies have pulled their ads from anti-Scientologist Leah Remini’s hate podcast, apologizing to STAND.
Leah Remini advocated for the opposite, personally insisting upon not getting an education by skipping class and demanding permission from her mother to drop out of school.
Seen through a filter of smiling faces and rose-colored glasses, Remini’s unmitigated, unrelenting crusade of lies against a religion whose only crime, apparently, was to try to help her, becomes something approaching beatific.
“That Wendy Williams would amplify Leah Remini’s campaign to harm, harass and victimize a religion’s members is unconscionable. It is thanks to the ignorance and irresponsibility of enablers like Williams that Scientologists have endured violent threats prompted by Remini’s false and inflammatory rhetoric.
“If GSN condones the marginalization of minorities, who is to say its audiences will not next be exposed to anti-Semitic and Islamophobic slurs on ‘People Puzzler’?“
