TOLERANCE
One would think, in this new epoch of hyper-sensitivity, that casual slurs about a stranger’s religion would be “so last century.” Not so much. I’m an actor, and a big part of my life is auditioning for casting directors in the LA area.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
You are an actor with some serious clout. You can open a movie, your co-stars cannot. You can force a re-write, a script revision, a slight edit because producers and studios want to make you happy. You make them money. You are a bankable star.
TOLERANCE
I took a university philosophy class one time and the part about the nature of reality almost killed me. Aristotle wrote 12 books on the subject, and wow were they complicated. Even the Cliffs Notes version gave me a headache.

When I was eighteen, I was working the cash register of the family grocery store when a gentleman walked in holding a brown paper sack. He was wearing a sports jacket, nice jeans and a dress shirt and had a pleasant smile.

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. Some of my earliest memories are of my extended family gathering at my great-grandmother’s farmhouse in the country and eating an absolute feast.

When asked, or if it just comes up, I tell all my co-workers and associates I am a Scientologist. The funny thing is, they don’t believe me! Every time I ask why, the answer is always the same: “But you’re just a regular guy.” I ask: “What do you think a Scientologist is?”

Every so often, I experience something odd. Someone will come along and insist that I defend my beliefs. They usually have a completely incorrect idea of what my beliefs are, so it gets a bit weird. But hey, it keeps life entertaining (to say the least).
