Dear Mr. Harris,
It is very rare that I get truly angry, but I am. When your program communicates that Scientology is harmful to children, and that as a Scientology parent I am “brainwashed” it is both an insult to my integrity as a parent, and a total fabrication.
I don’t know if you are a parent, but I am sure you would never agree with letting anything harmful and morally corrupt happen to your children. My children were raised in a Scientology family and THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN BULLBAITED, TRAINED AND AUDITED on sexually explicit content—I would never, ever agree to that!
I firmly believe that the family is a basic building block of a society, and I have devoted my life’s work to helping strengthen families. I have traveled over 2 million miles, written eight books on education and parenting, and communicated to thousands of individuals in over 35 countries, helping them to better understand how to create a strong family relationship using fundamental principles found in Scientology.
Scientology has provided my children, who are now very happy and successful adults, with a solid moral and ethical foundation. In raising our children my wife and I raised them in a way that we could totally trust them.
When my youngest daughter was 17 she wanted to finish her senior year at the Boston Arts Academy, a public high school in Boston. My wife and I moved to California in September of that year and we let our daughter basically take responsibility for her own life, staying with friends, so she could complete her senior year.
Attending a public high school meant there would likely be opportunities for her to stray from the beliefs and principles she was raised with. But we totally trusted her to keep her integrity, as well as the moral and ethical foundation she was raised with. And she did!
How many parents would TOTALLY trust their children in a similar situation? Would you?
That trust is a direct result of being raised in a Scientology family that applies the philosophy and beliefs found in Scientology.
I invite you to personally observe for yourself the principles and practices found in Scientology in the rearing of children and draw your own conclusions, not necessarily being influenced by my beliefs, and certainly not by the fabrications of individuals who have an ax to grind against Scientology.
