COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
A handful of people covertly create an illusion of “millions.” Their aim is to create a snowball of negativity that takes on a life of its own, destroying the individuals or groups in its path.
TOLERANCE
If you make an enemy of those whose ideas are not the same as yours, they will do everything they can to stop you. I can guarantee this won’t help your cause, whatever it may be.

It’s bad enough when adults turn a blind eye to bullying, it’s disgraceful when they encourage it, and it’s criminal when major U.S. corporations contribute to the problem by airing or sponsoring TV programs that set up innocent kids as “different” and therefore as targets.
TOLERANCE
Every so often, I experience something odd. Someone will come along and insist that I defend my beliefs. They usually have a completely incorrect idea of what my beliefs are, so it gets a bit weird. But hey, it keeps life entertaining (to say the least).

I propose a word that would serve to make a distinction between common, garden-variety bigots and those who are prejudiced towards spiritual practices. How about “spigot?”
TOLERANCE
The message was not one of anger or hatred, nor did it call for vengeance or retribution. The message did not exclude or label or categorize or incite prejudice. It simply said “We Stand Together.”

Perhaps you’ve come across “the real story” about Scientology on your Facebook feed, television screen or on some tabloid cover in the grocery store checkout aisle.

How does a person communicate with others? What are his actions, attitudes, and accomplishments? These are what a Scientologist looks at—not race, color, or creed.
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
Most world religions share a common purpose, whether it’s acknowledging spirituality, encouraging humanitarianism or preaching honesty and integrity. Yet, despite how constructive these may be, a recent report found that attacks on religious liberty have been on the rise.
TOLERANCE
The sad truth is that racial, religious and ethnic hatreds are alive and well in the 21st century and many new crimes are being committed in their names.
