This is the diametrical opposite of all the inappropriate things children are exposed to in the media these days—immorality, irresponsibility, drug abuse, and so on.

Dear Mr. Harris,
I’ve become aware that ABC News intends to air a bigoted program on my religion regarding its treatment of children.
As a youth group leader with the Church of Scientology for many years, I can tell you that our children learn about ethics and morals at an early age, lead extremely productive lives doing community activities such as street and park clean-ups, raising awareness on human rights issues and educating others on the effects of drug abuse and that they have a tremendous foundation of responsibility and willingness to help others. This is all due to the basic beliefs they learn through their study of the Scientology religion.
Scientology is an applied religious philosophy. It is there for practical use. That is one of the reasons you see such a high rate of volunteerism in Scientology Churches from both youth and adults. Service to others is a watchword among us.
I have worked with and personally helped dozens of Scientology youth over the years—youth who have gone on to obtain great jobs, form wonderful friendships, get married and have children of their own, and in general lead very productive and fulfilling lives.
This is the diametrical opposite of all the inappropriate things children are exposed to in the media these days—immorality, irresponsibility, drug abuse, and so on.
