I remain involved in my church’s activities weekly, which continue to improve and lift me spiritually and mentally. I suspect that these are the same types of things that keep people involved and dedicated to their own churches, no matter what denomination.

Dear Sirs,
This is in regards to your company’s sponsorship of the Remini “docuseries” on Scientology. The notion that this series is in any way worthy of your sponsorship is totally absurd.
I feel certain that the Remini series has completely ignored that there are TWO sides to every story. I am tired of hearing and reading one-sided negative things about my church.
This program is not “benign entertainment.” It can and has been directly responsible for attacks on my church. One troubled woman, with no personal dealings with Scientology, was so influenced by Leah Remini that she drove her car through the front doors of one of our churches. She drove into an area where dear friends of mine might have been sitting or standing, and her car rammed the lobby furniture through a glass wall into a childcare area where children had been just earlier in the evening.
My beloved church is the Church of Scientology. I have been an active, dedicated member of this church for forty-five years. I am really tired of getting slammed and hearing one side of the story. If any other of our world’s great religions were the subject of such malicious slander and vicious attacks, the producers and sponsors would likely be subject to some very serious religious discrimination if not hate speech charges. What makes you think it is fair to attack and malign my church?
Here is just a taste of that “other side of the story.” About forty-five years ago, I was curious about a practice which seemed to be having a profound and observably positive effect on some of my family members. I cautiously and somewhat skeptically approached, primarily with the intention of seeing whether my family members were being conned. It is human nature to be skeptical of any group that claims to be offering real help. Within the first week of a two-week introductory class, my life was changed forever. To say that my life was probably saved would be no exaggeration.
Within one brief week, I gained the knowledge, awareness and self-determinism to become an ethical, honest, productive, contributing member of our great nation and have remained so for the past forty-five years. I have personally known hundreds of people who have so benefited from the classes they’ve taken and the spiritual counseling they’ve received at the Church of Scientology. I remain involved in my church’s activities weekly, which continue to improve and lift me spiritually and mentally. I suspect that these are the same types of things that keep people involved and dedicated to their own churches, no matter what denomination.
Please cease your sponsorship of this show.
Yours truly,
Michael Sullivan
