Standing up for women’s rights does not warrant libel in the other direction. I am also assuming that the negative press that has been tied to Scientology stems from recent TV shows and “documentaries” that are nothing more than sponsored hate.

Dear Sir,
As an active Scientologist and artist I found it pretty distasteful that you were using my religion in your headline to get clicks on Diana Falzone’s bigoted one-sided article—that ignores the fact that a hardworking actress such as Elisabeth Moss just won a Golden Globe and wanted to stand alongside all her female colleagues who have suffered sexual harassment.
Standing up for women’s rights does not warrant libel in the other direction. I am also assuming that the negative press that has been tied to Scientology stems from recent TV shows and “documentaries” that are nothing more than sponsored hate.
Your coverage and the premise that Moss is a hypocrite are based only on false data. Recent shows like the one I will refer to as “A&E trash” are paid for, predetermined and telegraphed all in the name of entertainment and not in the name of blowing a whistle.
There is no more ethical group than Scientologists and if a parishioner were not abiding by our moral code, they would be dealt with appropriately, because behavior such as sexual harassment is intolerable anywhere.
For some reason, Scientology is used as something negative. Just know that as you continue to do that, you are committing hate speech. What if “Muslim” or “Jew” was your headline? That would sound like bigotry.
As the age of outrage and clickbait continues, know that there will be a time when implying something negative about Scientology will recoil on you. A lot more groups, formerly wrongfully disdained, are now tolerated and supported.
Please do your part to raise the level of society and not create controversy just because you found tweets from four religious bigots on Twitter and made a post out of them.
