Dear Mr. Boyd,
When I was growing up in the 1950s my family refused to buy anything that was German in origin or even remotely connected to Germany. My father and mother had family members killed in the holocaust, and rightly or wrongly they positioned any Germany connection with being connected to Nazism.
Less dramatically I would never again bank with Wells Fargo because of its previous organizational support of their employees opening up accounts without the approval of their customers—that is a culture and organization I do not trust.
I mention this because of your advertising support of programs being developed for A&E that promote religious bigotry. Shows such as the new Leah Remini and Elizabeth Vargas planned 50 episode series has an apparent agenda to destroy religion and attack religious belief systems.
To be positioned with these shows by your advertising support will result in positioning your advertisers as supporting the destruction of religion. Is that what you want?
I know I will personally boycott any product whose sales will help support this attack on religion. And I know I am not alone in this thinking.
Sincerely,
Bernard Percy
