The appalling PR that would go along with another hate-filled season is self-explanatory: it’s a total affront to the right to practice whichever religion one chooses (whether Muslim, Jewish, Scientologist, Mormon, Catholic, Buddhist, Anglican… the list is endless).

Dear Mr. Bainum,
I send you this letter as you advertise on A&E which airs an extremely bigoted and hateful series against my religion, Scientology.
I am shocked to learn that A&E is intending to give Leah Remini yet another season to air her hatred and anti-religious rant.
Based on past and present data, supporting such an enterprise as an advertiser is very bad for business!
Only a few days ago (May 29th, 2018), ABC rightfully pulled the plug on Roseanne Barr’s show due to her religious slander and racist slurs.
Leah Remini’s track record is similarly marred. In response to the first two seasons of Remini’s Aftermath series dozens of advertisers dropped the show by November 2017.
The appalling PR that would go along with another hate-filled season is self-explanatory: it’s a total affront to the right to practice whichever religion one chooses (whether Muslim, Jewish, Scientologist, Mormon, Catholic, Buddhist, Anglican… the list is endless).
The slander spread by Remini’s first season resulted in multiple occurrences of bullying towards children in schools. Supporting this show as an advertiser would be on a par with aiding and abetting such bigotry and hatred.
I urge you to take a serious look into this matter—for the sake of children the world over, integrity of religious freedom, and good old-fashioned ROI.
Regards,
Nicky Baker
