Dear Mr. English,
I write you, as you advertise your product on A&E. You may or may not know that they are airing and continue to air an inflammatory, one-sided and utterly bigoted anti-religious TV series.
The Disney brand is known worldwide as family-friendly, wholesome entertainment, even nurturing.
So, let me get this straight. Disney, who owns ABC along with A&E, fully supports a third season of Leah Remini’s anti-religious attacks against the Church of Scientology, as well as other religions?
Yet, ABC cancels Roseanne Barr’s show for a racist tweet?!
Remini is hell-bent on attacking Scientology, while Disney and its sponsors are enabling her to spread her delusional ideas, pure and simple. In fact, her anti-religion show’s viewer numbers have fallen even further than her Kevin Can Wait, which CBS canceled. But now A&E gives her a third season? The bigotry is pungent.
As a Scientologist for over 40 years, who has also worked in more than one of our churches over the years, I am very well qualified to know what is true and what are lies about my religion.
I won’t spend any time here going over the clearly true humanitarian endeavors that Scientology engages in daily around the world, or the millions of people who have found their lives bettered immensely. You can find that out for yourself.
But I will tell you that who and what in this world you aid and help reflects right back on you and your values. You have a choice: to help this world or not.
The simple truth is that Remini has her own deep, dark reasons to attack such a truly relevant, humanitarian group as Scientology. When you support such a personality, you actually further a huge injustice, much less a thoroughly one-sided, false view.
I, as a member of Scientologists Taking Action Against Discrimination (STAND), will not support Disney or its affiliates, much less its sponsors, as long as Remini is allowed to continue spewing her vilification of my religion, or anyone else’s.
