Unfortunately though, you are force-feeding the thinking public a diet of your obsession and her drivel, best described as hate-speech. No one asked for it and no one needs it, least of all those who are the subject of it—Scientologists. But you keep piling it on.

Ms. O’Hara,
I read your “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” commentary and observe that you are—through this and your other articles on Scientology—clearly a devoted fan of Remini.
Unfortunately though, you are force-feeding the thinking public a diet of your obsession and her drivel, best described as hate-speech. No one asked for it and no one needs it, least of all those who are the subject of it—Scientologists. But you keep piling it on.
The sum total of what Leah Remini has brought to Scientology parishioners is hate mail, broken and distraught families, bullied schoolchildren, a broken relationship of long standing (between a Scientologist and a non-Scientologist where no problem had existed before), workplace harassment, and felony violence to property.
And you advocate for that?
Please, in the future, find out for yourself about the subject on which you write. Learn about it before penning something lifted from others who may themselves have no idea what they say. As a journalist you have that obligation—to service your readers with the truth, not merely regurgitated hypocrisy and bigotry from a person filled with unconscionable hate.
Sincerely,
Edward Parkin
