This type of television programming is frightening and has placed people at risk. I have grandchildren and I have become concerned for their safety. I personally request that you cease your financial support of this horrible show. Hopefully ratings and money are not the only things that drive Hollywood today.

Dear Sir:
You must be very proud of Leah Remini and her disgusting show about her fantasized relationship with my church, the Church of Scientology.
I did not know the Emmys had a category for “Most Bigoted Program.” Since that must be the case, this show would almost certainly win. If she had some competition with, for example, a show encouraging the ostracizing of Jews or beating up Muslims, there would be a real contest. But since you would probably not permit that sort of programming (or would you?) Ms. Remini remains in a category all by herself.
This show is about hate and money, pure and simple.
Leah Remini is a hateful individual with an ax to grind, as anybody who associates with her soon discovers. The Church of Scientology does not bar someone because the person is demonstrably hateful. Many such people actually sincerely want to change that behavior and many are successful in doing so. They become kinder, more considerate and decent people. A very few, however, find it impossible to change; the desire to dominate others through word and deed is too powerful in such people.
This type of television programming is frightening and has placed people at risk. I have grandchildren and I have become concerned for their safety.
I personally request that you cease your financial support of this horrible show. Hopefully ratings and money are not the only things that drive Hollywood today.
Yours truly,
Gerald Beeny
