July 4th commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence—the document that established the United States of America and made the bold assertion that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The principal author of that document, Thomas Jefferson, also famously said: “The constitutional freedom of religion [is] the most inalienable and sacred of all human rights.”
Every Scientologist, as part of the Code of a Scientologist, pledges to protect and defend that God-given inalienable right, and “To support the freedom of religion” for the “good of all.”
That is why STAND joins with every religion and every American today to celebrate the freedom to live and believe with honor and integrity—and we thank all those fighting alongside us for religious freedom.
