COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
In the wake of the 1960’s, my father and mother began studying Dianetics and Scientology in New York and San Francisco. I grew up in a multi-denominational household—Christian, Jewish, Scientologist. I lived in an atmosphere of tolerance and respect.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
A bigot’s a bad thing to be. But, theoretically, it could happen to any one of us. For many years (and in what feels like another lifetime), I worked in the film business. Anyone familiar with that industry knows it involves arduous, long days and requires plenty of patience.
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
Time and again, whole peoples have put their trust and hope in their leaders, to their lasting regret. An individual from the extreme right or the extreme left stands up and calls out the evils he perceives around us and frightened masses flock to support him, hoping to be led to the promised land and away from their misery, uncertainty and hardship.

TOLERANCE
I was raised Jewish, and I remember going to temple and reading from the Torah when I was 11. Unfortunately, I could read the Hebrew symbols, but had no concept of what those sounds meant. So I gave up studying the Torah.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
When I was in third grade, I had a teacher who despised me. It wasn't because of anything I'd done to her, and it wasn't that I was a difficult student. In fact, I loved learning, was an avid reader, and was pretty social, so school was a perfect fit. Except for Mrs. Goldwitch.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
Overly tall, olive-skinned, with full lips and unmanageable curly hair I looked odd among both the children of German refugees and poor Southern states. I was raised as a lilly white boy, in a lilly white family in a lilly white farming town.
